Postman Flows

I joined Postman to lead Flows as Head of Product. I took the product from an internal lab incubator into a revenue-generating product line, built and grew the team, and drove adoption at some of the world's leading engineering organizations.

What I built and how

When I joined, Flows was an early-stage internal project with real potential but no clear path to market. I defined the product vision, shaped the go-to-market strategy, and built out the team across product management, engineering, and design.

The core insight I brought was that Postman's strength, trusted by 40M+ developers for API work, could be extended into a visual execution layer: not just testing APIs, but wiring them together into live, inspectable, shareable workflows. That positioning unlocked a new category of users and use cases, and with it, a new revenue stream.

I led the product through its most consequential capability additions: AI-generated flows from natural language prompts, Git integration for engineering teams running Flows in CI pipelines, composable flows as reusable building blocks, deployment as webhooks and MCP servers, and a template gallery with 100+ pre-built flows. Each of these expanded the audience and deepened enterprise adoption.

On the operational side, I instituted the rhythm of discovery, delivery, and measurement that took the team from shipping features to shipping outcomes. I worked directly with Fortune 500 customers including PayPal, Moneris, Adyen, and HubSpot to understand how Flows fits into real engineering workflows, and translated that into the roadmap.

The product

Visual API workflows

A canvas where teams connect API calls, define logic, and observe data moving between steps in real time. Documentation your team can run, not just read.

AI-generated flows

Describe a workflow in plain language and Flows builds it. The AI reads your API collections, maps data between steps, and handles errors automatically.

Git integration and CI

Flows live in repositories alongside collections. Teams run them locally and in CI pipelines using the Postman CLI.

Run as automations

Ship flows as scheduled automations, webhooks, or MCP servers running on Postman Cloud. No separate infrastructure to stand up.

Writing on Flows

LinkedIn Post Postman Flows

Postman is way more than an API client

Most people still think of Postman as just an API client. It is so much more: a platform for API discovery, automation, and AI-powered workflow building used by 40M+ developers.

One of my favorite features of AI is explaining code

I use Postman agent mode constantly to understand unfamiliar APIs and test suites. It brings the full power of gen AI to where I already spend my time, with no context switching.
